Welcome

Welcome to Gloucester County College from President, Russell Davis

Dr. Davis           On behalf of our faculty and staff, alumni, and fellow students, I would like to warmly welcome you to Gloucester County College. Whether this is your first college experience, or you are returning to pursue your education after a break, I invite you to this great institution and all that it has to offer.

GCC is an excellent place to expand your knowledge and to grow socially. Our academic programs prepare students for some of the best careers as well as efficient transitions to four-year colleges and universities. Class size allows our students to have one-on-one relationships with their professors, and effective collaborations with other students in the class, establishing important networks and in some cases, lasting friendships.

In addition, you can stretch creatively and socially through participation in student organizations and the Student Government Association, offering the appropriate blend of classroom and out of classroom experiences for those who choose to participate. Culturally,

our campus is unmatched, as you will have the opportunity to view world-renown artists in the College Gallery, as well as other cultural activities that include music, poetry, and dramatic presentations.

If athletics is your passion, you’ve come to the right place. GCC athletic teams have earned 14 NJCAA National Championships and have had 41 teams finish in the top three in the country over the past seventeen years. In 2007, the Roadrunners received the Pepsi NATYCAA Award for having the 3rd best non-scholarship NJCAA Athletic Program in the country. We had a total of three teams finish in the top three in the country (Baseball, Women’s Cross Country and Women’s Soccer), eight teams finish in the top ten in the country and 12 GCC Student Athletes were named All-Americans. The GCC Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Teams were both named the NJCAA Academic Teams of the Year for having the best overall team GPA in their sport from throughout the country.  This past year GCC also won the CAANJ Cup, which is given to the best overall two-year college athletic program in New Jersey, for the third year in a row and seventh time overall. We field 13 total athletic programs including: men’s and women’s teams in cross country, tennis, basketball, soccer and outdoor track & field, as well as teams in baseball, softball and wrestling.

Community service projects, volunteerism, and service to the community are vital in becoming a full participant in your education.  We are here for you, and one of the ways that we are assured that we are keeping pace is through your participation!

Gloucester County  College for many is the start of greatness that will follow you for the rest of your life. For others, it can be a part of continued greatness and success, a pathway for the attainment of future goals and achievements. Either way, GCC has everything that you need to map your journey to success wherever you may be headed. We are absolutely excited that you have chosen GCC to get you there!
