Sophomore point guard Tasia Farmer (Siclerville, NJ/Timber Creek HS) has taken some important shots during her time her at GCC but probably none with as much pressure as she faced Saturday afternoon. Trailing 59-58 she stepped to the foul line with just 0.4 seconds left on the clock. Farmer made it look easy though as she swished both free throws and gave the Roadrunners their first win of the young season. Farmer finished with a team-high 16 points for the game.

Freshman guards Alex Koutras (Washington Twp., NJ/Washington Township HS) and Devan Solari (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown HS) both contributed again in the scoring column as they poured in 14 and 15 points, respectively. Sophomore forward Cindy Williams scored 5 points and collected 16 rebounds.

The women will be on the road this week as they travel to Salem CC on Tuesday and Philadelphia CC on Thursday before returning home for a 1pm game with Passaic CC on Saturday.
