 The Delaware Valley Safety Council (DVSC) is a non-profit organization which was organized and incorporated in 1995. During the incorporation of DVSC (formerly the South Jersey Chemical Manufacturers Safety Council) it was the council's main objective to provide a safety orientation program for contractor company employee's working within member sites.
DVSC has partnered with Gloucester County College (GCC) since 1995 to deliver safety orientation to contractor employees and has recently become a member of the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils, (ARSC) Inc. GCC delivers ARSC curriculum materials and provides an end of course examination. The curriculum is designed to help host employers satisfy contractor training responsibilities under OSHA’s Process Safety Management Standard. We consider the class a supplement to and not a substitute for the contractor employer’s training obligations.
In addition to offering the ARSC Safety Orientation, GCC provides related safety training services for both processing plants and plant technical services contractors. Services include:
