The Office of Special Services addresses supportive needs toward academic achievement for those students with documented disabilities such as learning disabled, visually impaired, hard of hearing and mobility impaired individuals.
Accommodations are provided to address the special needs of individuals with disabilities under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Under these acts, the office advocates a "user friendly" campus for accessibility and a "learning friendly" campus for academic success.
