The primary goal of the Student Development office is to assist our students in achieving their educational goals by providing quality student and academic support services.  Our wide variety of programs and services are designed to address the diverse needs of each individual student.

Often, students enter college with little to no idea of what program of study they will pursue.  Some enter GCC with an intended major but then change their minds. Freshman year is intended as an exploratory time for both those who are still searching as well as for those who believe they made up their minds. The Student Development office has structured an excellent advisement program to guide you through every step. Each semester, the Registration office provides you with course information and the course catalog is always an online source for learning more about program and course descriptions.
